John W. Flowers III (aka “Binky”), is currently the Minister of Music for St. John AME Church, Worthington, Ohio. John W. Flowers a native of Pittsburgh, PA., also affectionately known as “the man with a thousand fingers”, dubbed this name by fellow musicians for good reasons. He has been Minister of Music for several churches for over 30 years.
John’s music ministry began at an early age, and his dedication to his calling from God has taken him across the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, and other countries performing and conducting music workshops. He has been a guest musician accompanying National recording artists such as Vicki Winans, Hezekiah Walker, Richard Smallwood, The Pace Sisters, Dr. Bobby Jones, and numerous others. Additionally, John has performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the New York Symphony Orchestra, the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Vonn Thomas and Friends Love Choir and Tetrec Community Choir.
John is the recipient of numerous music honors and recognition because of his anointed artistic skills. He has gained admiration, appreciation, respect, and affection from all those he graces with his sounds of anointed music and humble spirit. John W. Flowers III, God-given talent, humble spirit, and tenacity all mingled together has made him the well-known Minister of Music that he is today.
John is married to Pam Flowers; they have five adult children and six grandchildren. In addition to being the Minister of Music for St. John AME Church, John is retired from General Motors, works as a contractor for the Yamaha Music Corporation, Sonic Automotive, and plays the organ for Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist.
If you ask John what his greatest accomplishment is, he will say “his desire to be a man that seeks after the heart of God, live a life of integrity, and serve with the passion and compassion of Christ”.
